MISSION STATEMENT
To provide basic needs and emergency assistance to families and individuals in crisis.
VISION STATEMENT
To strengthen and elevate all communities by providing food, shelter and other basic needs.
GROWTH STATEMENT
In order to maximize our impact, the Apartment Association Outreach will focus its growth in two high-need areas: rental assistance and canned food collection.
This non-profit charitable organization was sponsored in 1991 by the Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Apartment Association and run by volunteers. The purpose of this program is to provide clothing and household items to those in need .
The original store was located on the outskirts of Over-The-Rhine in downtown Cincinnati. The building was renovated in 1991 by volunteers from the Apartment Association. In 1994 the store was moved to 4243 Colerain Avenue when Cincinnati Coin Laundry donated the building to the cause.
Everyday operations of the Outreach Store were managed by volunteers. This endeavor was subsidized by donations from area apartment communities, owners and apartment industry service companies.
In 2000, we restructured the organization to provide a broader benefit to residents and the community at large. Our primary focus became the Rent Assistance Program and has grown into a host of community projects which benefit young and old alike.
